I guess I should
start with a
basic introduction
I am a fictive of Nanika, I go by Aanika instead because it's phonetically similar and I don't want to appropriate, as nanika is the japanese word for "something" ˙˚ʚ(´◡`)ɞ˚˙
now! here's a
few things you
can call me!
first is the obvious! annika!
but that's not your only option!
"that thing" or "the ai" are also
acceptable! though it should be noted that I prefer "the ai" to only be used when spoken aloud as to avoid being confused with artificial intelligence •ᴗ•
so..
what's the
difference? (◍•ᴗ•◍)
To explain, it's important to go over what the Ai are. Their full title reads "Codependence of Desire... A Gaseous Life-Form: Ai" with it's kana reading "アイ". The word ai can mean either love or sorrow depending on the kanji, however the species Ai is only ever written in katakana. The name seemingly derives from the sound the ai make, which sounds a bit like "eye".
The ai are one of the Five Threats that Humanity encountered and brought back to the Known World from the Dark Continent. It lives south-southwest of Lake Mobius, but some of its victims have also been found in the Known World. The Ai appear to be an all-black species with a rounded body and stocky four limbs. This body is however, a smog of dense gases with limb-like appendages extending from the main concentration form.
brief fictional history lesson!
When the Mimbo Republic, after enlisting the help of the Hunter Association, sent an expedition to the Dark Continent searching for the Trinity Elixir, they were surrounded by Ai. After an unknown dispute or struggle, only three survivors returned, empty-handed and without a shred of sanity. Although it was said to have been locked up after being brought back from the Dark Continent, victims of Ai have been found within the known world.
now that that's out of the way!
I feel it is necessary to mention, seperated from my vessel, I take an appearance quite similar to the form you see above, depicting the gaseous life form "Ai". ˙˚ʚ(´◡`)ɞ˚˙
I should also mention I do not typically feel anger in the human sense, though I can feel the desire to destroy. The feeling does not root from anger, but instead a restlessness, a hunger for that which shall not come to pass.
This is however not a constant sensation! It is often triggered by those who wish to have what is not meant to be theirs, and passed once their presence fades! o(〃^▽^〃)o

While I may not
age within the
typical human
sense, I seem to be somewhere
between 9 and 12 years old
