 additional info!

occupation: strategist for SOLACE project,

as well as a spy for it's rebellion.... to elaborate she joined SOLACE project somewhere around 14 years ago, and has been a strategist within the organization for 12 years, about two years into being a strategist she started the rebellion against the organization alongside her lover, while staying in the organization to gain important information to aid the rebellion

old student: somewhere around a year into being a strategist, eloise took on an apprentice... it would be a stretch to say the girl was a star student, she was reckless and impulsive and froze under pressure.. all traits less than desirable in an apprentice strategist of all things........... but she was also hardworking and self aware, not to mention she was good at making sure she stayed tight lipped about the organizations plans.. after all, eloise never would've taken her on as a student had that not been the case.

she tried her best to be as nurturing to the kid as she could be, tried to reassure her and encourage her to go on and improve even when she failed.... she figured it was the least she could do for the girl, given how awful of an environment SOLACE project was for someone so young... besides, she didn't want to be anything like her advisor.

speaking of her advisor, she made an effort to keep him away from her student... not that he thought he'd try to hurt the kid, but he wasn't a particularly warm person.. it was as if his time as a strategist had served to sharpen his mind and dull his soul.

but we've gotten side tracked.

i haven't even told you this student's name!

mariana astle.

when she first applied to join SOLACE project as an apprentice she was staying at an orphanage, she'd made a few friends in her time there... which was really no surprise, the girl had been there for ages.. sure, plenty of families had fostered her throughout the years, but they didn't last long.. most were just uneducated idealists who figured the diagnosis in her file wouldn't apply once she was in the right environment.

once mariana was officially involved in SOLACE project, she was no longer allowed to stay at the orphanage and was taken in by eloise.. it wasn't a typical kid/parent dynamic, outside of professional contexts eloise didn't offer much guidance or comfort.... she'd never cared for the idea of motherhood, and she didn't plan to start now.. but it wasn't all bad, she wasn't exactly motherly but she still cared about the kid, making arrangements with the orphanage to ensure mariana would still be able to see her friends from there despite not being allowed to visit the place

overall, they had a fairly good rrelationship, but all good things must come to an end.

mariana tried her best to not to say anything about the organization at school, and she succeeded! but she was still reckless, she struggled to fall under the radar due to her own impulsive misconduct.... eventually, she went missing.

one day..

two days...

three days....

four..... five...... six...

one week.

a week had passed by the time her body was discovered, she'd been tortured to death, likely in an interrogation of some kind.. this was one of the catalysts for eloise starting the rebellion against SOLACE project.

her advisor: he was a very efficient man, eloise wouldn't deny that much, but from what eloise could tell... there wasn't much else to him.

albert elmes was everything eloise feared she'd one day become, even when mariana died, the man didn't bat an eye.. he simply focused on the interrogation aspect and whether that meant another organization was after them, even in casual settings he never quite snapped out of this mentality..... he never seemed to have outward dreams or desires of his own, it was as if his will had been carved out of him, and in it's place lay the will of organization.

sometimes eloise wondered if he'd always been that way, calloused and uncaring, it was hard to imagine him being any other way.. after all, even when he was caring and friendly, she at least knew him well enough to know it was nothing more than a display.... though, despite knowing him well enough to know when he was putting on a performance, and knowing him for years on end, at the end of the day.. eloise knew next to nothing about the man.

the man wasn't much of a talker... in fact, in the 12 years she knew him, not once did he ever speak about his background or personal life.. it didn't take a genius to figure out he wasn't a fan of friendly chats, unless he was putting on a front in order to ensure the organization ran smoothly he displayed absolutely no interest in social interaction.

he wasn't necessarily evil, his wrongdoings were never from his own desire, he didn't seem to enjoy the suffering of others nor did he seek it out.... but that was what scared eloise, because it was more than obvious SOLACE project had worn him down into little more than a machine for the organization.

she often found herself hoping that he'd simply lacked direction to boot, that the organization had simply taken advantage of his already existing apathy... but as much as she hoped, she couldn't bring herself to believe it...... sure, the explanation would've been comforting, but it was a peculiar explanation in comparison to the one she had right in front of her.. she had a lot more evidence to suggest that his behavior was simply a product of his work environment, after all he'd been in the organization for nearly as long as it had stood.... to say that he was somehow always that way? it felt like wishful thinking, and romanticism served a strategist little value.

her lover: (WIP: this will probably take awhile since I am currently in an ongoing investigation)
